We are proud to announce that Kannah Creek Brewing Company has recently claimed a Gold Award in the Brewers Association (BA) World Beer Cup® 2008, a global beer competition that evaluates and recognizes the most outstanding beers being produced in the world today.

The World Beer Cup® 2008 winners were selected by an international panel of 129 beer judges from 21 countries. An impressive field of 2,864 entries from 644 breweries in 58 countries made up the competition. More than 3,800 breweries in 100 countries were invited to compete.

Kannah Creek Brewing Company was awarded a Gold Award in the Extra Special Bitter or Strong Bitter beer style category for our Standing Wave Pale Ale. True to its style, this beer has a generous quantity of American-variety hops that pleasantly linger on the palate and a mild malty character that really shines through. It is an exceptionally balanced Pale Ale, for hopheads and milder palates alike.
